Who Owns The Female Body

Who Owns The Female Body? A Group Discussion on Objectification, Control, and Reclaiming Autonomy

For centuries, the female body has been subject to external control, exploitation, and regulation—by patriarchal systems, societal norms, and, more recently, by state and corporate entities.

We invite you to join our online discussion that will explore important questions about bodily autonomy and how the female body is perceived and governed.

This event will create space to reflect on:

  • Historical and modern-day objectification of women

  • The commodification of female bodies in media, advertising, and pop culture

  • Cultural and patriarchal expectations around motherhood, beauty, and behaviour

  • The psychological toll of being constantly seen, judged, and reduced

All voices are welcome. This will be a respectful, inclusive, and open dialogue.

Our events are open to ALL BODIES. We stand for the inherent worth of all people and aim to create a psychologically safe and inclusive space. As this conversation is designed to be highly interactive, we kindly ask that you have your camera on during the session, this will help foster a more engaging and collaborative environment. However, please remember there is absolutely no pressure, we understand the importance of honouring your body and comfort, your participation and presence are what matter most to us.

Thank you for your interest in being part of this important conversation, we look forward to seeing you there!
