Resist the institutions that criminalise, discipline, and constrain our bodies.
Envision worlds where all bodies are recognised, valued, and protected.
We Believe That:
Beauty is political.
We challenge it wherever it is used to shame, exclude, or justify violence.
All bodies hold knowledge.
Especially the ones labelled deviant or excessive.
No one is free until we all are.
That includes fat, queer, trans, disabled, racialised, undocumented, criminalised, and poor bodies.
Our Learning Spaces
More than just learning environments, our workshops are sites of refusal. Refusals to accept the academy as the only source of legitimacy, and refusals to let our knowledge be reduced to metaphor or spectacle. In each gathering, we challenge the assumption that knowledge must look, sound, or behave a certain way to be valid.
Imagination is often celebrated as the wellspring of creativity and progress, yet the freedom to imagine, to dream of other worlds, is not universally granted. Power structures regulate who is deemed credible in their capacity to conceive alternative realities, and whose dreams are mere fantasy or dangerous delusion.
Those of us marginalised by dominant epistemologies have historically been denied access to the realms of intellectual legitimacy and visionary thinking. Our dreams and knowledge have been delegitimised, erased, or co-opted. Yet, it is precisely from these sites of exclusion that some of the most radical and transformative imaginaries arise.
