The Politics of Skin Tone

We need to talk about colourism.

What have we learned about skin tone, and how have those lessons shaped the ways we see ourselves and each other?

Join us for an open community conversation exploring the ways colourism is experienced and reproduced in our everyday lives.

We’ll explore the privileges and wounds it creates, and the difficult, collective work of unlearning the skin tone hierarchies we have inherited.

Please be mindful that this space prioritises the perspectives and lived experiences of those most impacted by colourism.

We ask others to be guided by care, thoughtful restraint, and a commitment to hold space rather than occupy it.
