Join our community conversation as we tackle beauty standards, diet culture, and the broader systems that regulate and discipline our bodies.
Together, we’ll explore what it means to move from self-love as a private practice to body liberation as a political project. Self-love matters, but it’s not enough. This is a space to think beyond the personal toward the structural and the collective.
What does solidarity across size difference actually require of us?
Fat liberation has a history that predates body positivity by decades, rooted in feminist and disability justice movements that named fatphobia as structural, not personal.
This conversation traces that lineage and asks what we lose when liberation gets repackaged as acceptance. There is a difference between feeling good in your body and being free. Feeling good is personal. Being free is collective. This conversation is about the distance between them. We are interested in that gap, what lives inside it, and who gets stuck there.
